Samnang Lim is a partner at Athipa Law Firm. Prior to co-founding the firm, he worked at various law firms in Cambodia and abroad, including Yulchon LLC in Seoul, LS Horizon Limited in Bangkok, Bun & Associates in Phnom Penh and his former firm, DBLS Law Group. Mr. Lim possess extensive experience in general corporate matters, finance and banking, mergers & acquisitions, foreign direct investment, real estate and construction, concession, mining and energy and also commercial litigation. Throughout his 12 years of legal practice, he has represented clients, large and small, cooperate and individual, in various legal issues, in negotiating complex transactions, in advising on policies and strategies and in high-profile legal proceedings.

 

Apart from his private practice, Mr. Lim is a member of the Council of Jurists of the Council of Ministers of the Royal Government of Cambodia. His role at the Council is to review drafts laws and regulations prepared by ministries and government agencies prior to submission to the Prime Minister. Mr. Lim was recently appointed by the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia as a member of a working group to discuss and draft policies supporting young lawyers in Cambodia.
