Charles Amar is a partner for EU Practice at Athena Law Firm. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Linklaters, Paul Hastings, SJ Berwin, Wragge & Co, Franklin, Bun & Associates and DFDL. Mr. Amar has been admitted to the Paris Bar for more than 15 years and has extensive experience on all aspects of real estate law with a particular focus on issues related to real estate investment, project development, construction, asset management and hospitality. He regularly advises domestic and foreign clients seeking expert advice and innovative solutions on significant and complex transactions involving property, whether already developed or at the planning stage. He regularly advises developers and hotel operators for development, sale, acquisition and management of hotels in Europe and Cambodia. He was also previously a professor of construction law at the Royal University of Law and Economics, Phnom Penh and the vice-chairman of EuroCham Real Estate & Construction Committee. He is currently a board member of the Cambodia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
